My Back Field and Garden

Most people with gardens like to keep them shorn and looking neat, and sterile, which is fine; but dead. Weird people let their gardens grow and become life filled meadows. They then lock themselves away, put newspapers up in their windows, and come out once a month to the cries of things such as 'weirdo!' from locals. Mary Contrary was a fine example, who let her garden grow wild, and then displayed her local 'pleasure' girls amongst the wild flowers in the resultant meadow.

Where I live, I like to go into the garden when it is wild, and get a few pictures; and then someone ruins it all and cuts the grass so it doean't look out of place with the neighbours. I have taken many nice pictures in the grounds of Buckingham Palace as you will see, but the butler? he's a pain on that cutting machine.

The back field? You have to look closer than usual to see all the life, which is usually taken for granted. And get ready to see leaf dragons, an insect tourist guide, a bush telephone exchange, a hover fly having fun... and a few other things you can always not take for granted in a field.
